Living Forward with Cherryll Sevy
INITIAL CHALLENGE: Needing a website and corporate stationery to launch a second career as writer and speaker.
Because this work was for a “business of one,” we went through the TKG Insignia Approach to Personal Branding. I listened and asked a set of questions to help put together a “BrandYou” document citing her passion and strengths in messaging forms that her right audience respond and engage.
From this documentation, the blog name and signature look and feel was born. Within a month the preliminary site was live. In late 2019, we refreshed the site slightly as content parameters and her business plan change.
With a client retainer in place, the client and I connect and brainstorm every two weeks, I make content updates to the site as needed and I am deeply connected to her goals. This allows me to continue to feed her ideas, proof items for her as needed and more.
For the past two years (and in the books for 2019), I’ve contributed to the client’s blog posting with an on-going free wallpaper feature. These free items draw people to the site via social media – not to mention they have a strong visual component. In the coming year, we’ll be using the client’s own quotes from her writings on the wallpapers – another way to share her voice.
