INITIAL CHALLENGE: Develop a website to draw prospects for the local International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

One of my favorite website builds. Again on WordPress so the staff itself could update and manage themselves (a free reference guide and training come with all site builds TKG does). Using some of their existing brochure details and talking with team needs, I pulled together structure, copy and visuals.

A series of sliders were created for the homepage designed to evoke power and brotherhood.

TKG created a custom desktop wallpaper available for download.

TKG created their small business card ad for use in local newspapers. All materials carried the new tagline, IBEW standard logo with new LU903 subbrand.

INITIAL CHALLENGE: Supporting local elections with a central site for information.

Doing my part for my community has included supporting local Democratic councils and party. I offered my services to the then-in-charge Harrison County Democrats of Mississippi. I developed a new website, supported content with visuals and refreshed an existing logo. It is a volunteer organization and I regret the site is not currently maintained as it could be.

Another banner done for the home page.

Featured images were created for blog posts that also went out via social media that were bold and bright to catch people’s attention.

One regular content feature idea was sharing quotes from political leaders on democracy. an initial set of ten were created by TKG. These too were also shared via social media.

Example of two edugraphics that were developed and shared via online channels.

INITIAL CHALLENGE: Refresh a logo and develop a site for a small preschool on the Gulf Coast.

While my son attended this wonderful school, I helped the small staff with their efforts at marketing. From refreshing and vectoring the logo (they only had a jpg file of their logo) to exterior signage and a website to communicate with parents and prospects, I loved helping this school promote itself and all it offered.

Staff t-shirts – bright colors with full-color logo embroidered.

Business cards included a quote from Maria Montessori on the backs.

Screen-printed t-shirts were also developed for kids and parents to purchase.

Exterior signage updated and simplified so people had an easier time of finding driveway entrance.

INITIAL CHALLENGE: Running a local campaign requires a look, website and more.

My first time as a communications manager for a political campaign, the candidate lost his primary by two votes. From development of a logo and tagline of “Gulf Coast Proud” to yard signs and t-shirts, we created a look that was patriotic and bright.

This work led to the opportunity of also developing the county Democrat site and materials or other candidates through the years.

Alice Moseley Museum

INITIAL CHALLENGE: I volunteered to build them a new site – I was so captured by Ms. Moseley’s work.

Living on the Mississippi Gulf Coast at the time, I was interested in helping local non-profits particularly in the arts. The existing site was several years old and did not do justice to the wonderful folk art I experienced in person. The initial goal was to capture that brightness in a new responsive, easy-t-manage site.

Once the site was completed, I joined the Board and delivered other marketing components to the Executive Director as needed. My work with them concluded in 2015.

Promotional poster hung around town.

In-kind billboard space was offered to Museum for summer.

Print ad used in local theather playbill.

One of several emails created.
